Obituary of John Bayeux
John J. Bayeux, Jr., 58, of Basking Ridge, passed away Monday, May 12, 2014 at Morristown Memorial Hospital. Born in New York, NY, he grew up in Cedar Grove, NJ, where he graduated high school, and later earned a B.A. in History and an MBA in Finance from Seton Hall University where he was a member of the Sigma Pi Fraternity.
John lived with his wife, Karen Bayeux, in Clifton and Maplewood before moving to Basking Ridge eighteen years ago. Before working as a Senior Vice President at Frenkel & Company, he worked for many years at AON Corporation. He was also Chairman of the Bernards Township Republican Municipal Committee, held a seat on the Electoral College in the most recent Presidential Election, and taught catechism at St. James Church in Basking Ridge for 15 years. John is survived by his loving wife, Karen, his three children, Kathryn, John, and Patrick, his mother-in-law, Dolores, his two sisters, Carolyn and Joyce, his brother, Steven, his brother-in-laws, Brian and Charlie, and sister-in-law, Debbie. He is also survived by his nieces, Christine and Angela, and his nephews, Corey, Daniel, and Philippe. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at The Church of St. James, 184 South Finley Ave, Basking Ridge, N.J. at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to visit the Gallaway & Crane Funeral Home 101 South Finley Avenue, Basking Ridge, N.J. on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting gifts for their children's higher education.
