John was a business colleague whom I have known for only a few years. He was a remarkable person and a great friend. He will be remembered for his thoughtfulness and all of the good deeds he did for others. My deepest sympathy to his family at this time and in the weeks that lie ahead. May you find comfort in happy memories of your time together.
Warm regards,

My Uncle John will be missed tremendously. I have many fond memories of he and my Aunt Karen taking me apple picking and for adventures in NYC as a little girl. He was a true family man and was an amazing, proud, compassionate, and loving father to his three beautiful children, Katie, John, and Patrick. He adored his wife, Karen, and the love that glowed between them is indelible to anyone who was lucky enough to know and love them. He will be missed, treasured, and remembered forever, as he will live on in our hearts and spirits.

I had the pleasure of knowing and working with John for over 15 years. We forged a strong friendship the very first time we had lunch in Bryant Park discussing work, politics and family. John had strong feelings for all three, but his family always came first! My wife Meg & I, also had the privilege of receiving his blessing and prayer reading at our wedding a year and half ago. We will all miss our friend JB, and our thoughts and prayers go out to his family !

I am so, so sorry to hear this sad news as John was such an all-around fantastic person. John and I worked together for about a year at Heffernan in 2012. He was such a great person to work with as he was so pleasant to be around and so thoughtful and supportive to all his coworkers. Also it was always so apparent what a dedicated and proud family man John was, more so than any other person I ever worked with in my 6 years in NYC. He talked to and talked about his wife and 3 kids all day, every day. He loved them so much and was so proud of each of them. I remember he was always so excited to talk about his John's running career, his "little guy" Patrick's baseball team which he coached and Kathryn's new job at the lobbying firm. And of course he loved to talk about politics and his church life - both of which he was so involved with. John was just a really great guy. One of those people that if the world was full of nothing but John Bayeux's, the world would be such a perfect place. I really enjoyed my time working with him and am so sad to hear of his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. Your husband and father was a wonderful man who loved you so much. - Tyler Caswell

I was going to write a long posting but Tyler Caswell said most of it so very well already in an earlier posting ….. what I can say is that I enjoyed a friendship with John for more than two decades. John was a constant professional in EVERYTHING that he did. My deepest sympathies to his immediate family, his extended family as well as his friends, business associates and his community who are all grieving at this time. Try to remember his smile, his constant good cheer, and his good deeds! Ira Cohen

Katie, My heart goes out to you, your mom and your brothers. I stood in your shoes 30 years ago when my dad passed away from cancer at age 53. I was the oldest of three, like you. No one likes to see their loved ones suffer and your dad is in a much better place without suffering and pain, not only for him, but for you, your mom and brothers. You should know that your father's light will be with you at graduation and every event thereafter and you will feel his presence in all the things that you do in life because of lessons learned from your mom and dad. His spirit is with you always!

The world has lost, one of the good ones. My brother's life was taken too soon. There was so much more he would have achieved and so much good he would have done. I have honored and revered my brother my whole life. I know now that he is with our father and mother, and they are proud of everything, and everyone he touched, while he was on this earth. You just couldn't find a better man, father, brother, uncle, and friend. His kindness, humor, his love for life will never be forgotten. I love you big brother. You will be missed.
Your little brother,
Steven.

I was deeply saddened to hear of John's passing. I had lunch with him last year at the ABA conference in Orlando and he was so upbeat and full of life, as was his norm. He was always eager to help people in any way that he could and, in fact, at our lunch made about three offers to help me grow my business. I knew John since about 2000 or so and never heard anyone say a bad word about him. We lost a great guy far too soon. My deepest condolences to his loving family.

John was an internal client of mine at Willis and one of the best ones I have ever had. He was always the consummate professional, always passionate about his business, and always the best kind of human being to be around. His light has been snuffed out way too soon and my thoughts and prayers are with all of his loved ones. May you find some peace knowing that John's light touched us all..

I only knew John for a short time-- but he made an indelible impact. He was smart, kind, incredibly thoughtful and a great connector. I saw him on April 2 and he told me about his illness--but also his high hopes for a complete recovery. I encouraged him to eat healthy --but he ordered a burger and fires, which he thoroughly enjoyed. I was so glad we had that lunch. John was a great guy and I'm sure he is sorely missed and loved by his family-- of whom he was so very proud.

Our family was so sad to hear of John's passing. There are very few men that are such outstanding role models as John was to our son Johnny. John was a baseball coach that demonstrated strength, discipline and athleticism but more importantly always showed patience and kindness to the boys. We admired John very much and respected his commitment to his family. Our prayers are with Karen, Katie, John and Patrick.

First of all I would like to extend my deepest sympathies to John's family.
