Obituary of Victor James Barclay

Victor Barclay, age 47, of Basking Ridge, died on Sunday, December 30, 2012. He was born in Wangaratta, Victoria, Australia on April 22, 1965. He completed his secondary schooling at Bendigo High School, graduating in 1982. He completed his Bachelor of Arts and Graduate Diploma of Computing at the Bendigo College of Advanced Education (LaTrobe University, Bendigo) in 1986 and 1987 respectively. He worked at the Australian Bureau of Statistics in Canberra, Target Australia in Geelong and the National Australia Bank in Melbourne before moving to Jacksonville, FL in 1995 where he worked at CSX and Universal Card Services. He moved to New Jersey in 2000 and worked for J&W Seligman and later on projects at Merck and Merrill Lynch. In 2006 he founded his own software company. Victor enjoyed golf, reading, walking his dog Floppy and spending time with his family. He is survived by his beloved wife Lynn; his son Ryan; his parents Victor Francis and Beverley of Australia; his sister Melinda and her husband David Kallasmae of Australia; his brother Clifton and his wife Kathryn of Australia; his sister-in-law Kathy and her husband R. Bruce Mann of Midlothian, VA; and nieces and nephews Matthew and Andrew Kallasmae, Laura, Anna, Gemma and Mitchell Barclay and Jaclyn and Austin Mann. Visitation will be Friday, January 4, 2013 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM at Gallaway & Crane Funeral Home, Basking Ridge, NJ. A service will be held Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the Basking Ridge Presbyterian Church, Basking Ridge. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Sarcoma Foundation of America at www.curesarcoma.org or the Bernards Township Library, where he and Ryan spent so many happy times together, at 32 S.
