Although I did not know Victor very well, I consider him family through my cousin Lynn and his son Ryan. Loosing Victor so young is a deep sadness in my heart forever. Victor was one of the "good ones", that we needed to carry on. May his spirit live on in all of us.
Peace and love forever Victor.
cousin, Maureen

Victor was a colleague of mine during the years I worked at J&W Seligman in NYC. I remember him as a true professional that took on some difficult tasks with a cheerful attitude and a great sense of humor. It was always a pleasure to work with him as he made the process of getting things done feel like it was meant to be that way.
My condolences to the family. I will remember him as a dear friend and co-worker.

It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Victor. What a wonderful man; as his next door neighbor, Victor's love of his family was so evident and admirable. Never without a kind word, he made a deep and lasting impression on this neighborhood and he will be sorely missed. Lynn, Ryan, we are here to support you as you travel the road ahead. RIP Victor.

The picture I hold in my mind of you and Victor is one from my wedding - you were newlyweds, dancing, and chatting... and Ryan was but a twinkle in your eyes.
I'm so grateful you had the time together that you did and hope that your grief eases over time. With all my love and sympathy, Kristin

Vic was my friend from when we were 10, and we spend countless hours for many years playing cricket, golf, snooker, pool and footy together. Witty, competitive, tolerant, generous, laconic, introspective, engaging, a great friend indeed. The Barclay family are my family, and I cherish the kindness and love they have given and continue to give for so many years now. Rest in peace mate, I will never forget you.

Vic, my loved and admired older brother, has shown me how to live and now how to die - with grace and dignity, beautiful spirit shining until his end.
I have so many happy memories of shared times: cups of tea; meals; games; watching television, movies and sports; and innumerable conversations.
I never wanted them to end.
Vic was a loving uncle to my sons - Matthew and Andrew - who loved his wit, generosity and intelligence; his easy smile; his frequent laugh; and his pleasure in their company.
Vic spent his happiest days with Lynn and Ryan.
Lynn and Ryan, I remember how proud Vic was to introduce each of you to our family -
who will miss and love him always.

I remember meeting Victor in our neighborhood when I would take my walks and he would be walking Floppy. What a lovely man with an easy smile and quick wit. He always had a kind word and seemed more concerned for others than himself. It is obvious how much he adored his family - his lovely wife Lynn, his little buddy Ryan and of course Floppy! We will miss him and we pray that God will hold you close, Lynn and Ryan, in the days ahead.

I’m sorry Vic, I just couldn’t face doing this ‘light a candle thing’… It just shouldn’t be. Vic, you were one of the very finest that ever was and ever will be. As you often joked with Mum and Dad but in your case it was true - they really did ‘break the mould’. Only brother, best man at our wedding and best friend forever..

Vic... Memories of days long ago at Wangaratta, Guildford, Kangaroo Flat and Beaconsfield... a little blonde boy wearing a Collingwood jumper and a big grin who grew into a sensitive, intelligent, thoughtful teenager and a generous, loving family man. I am SO very grateful that Eric and I had the opportunity to visit you, Lynn, Ryan and Floppy eighteen months ago. You were just as pleased to see us and enjoy 'a little taste of home' and you showed us generous hospitality and wonderful BBQ skills! It was lovely to meet Lynn and Ryan and share some old memories while making some new ones. I am currently holidaying in New Zealand, and after Dad rang with the sad news I said my own goodbye to you at the beautiful Bay of Islands as the New Year's Eve fireworks lit up the night sky... Safe travels Vic and my love and strength to Lynn and Ryan and to Bev, Melinda, Cliff and families xx
