I met Karen in 6th grade when I joined St. Teresa's CYO Basketball Team. We played together for years on the basketball, softball and volleyball teams. I loved walking to her home and hanging out with her and her family. Her dad was always so nice and friendly. He always made me feel special and I knew how much he adorded Karen. He was so proud of her accomplishments, especially in tennis and they were best of buddies jogging around town.
I know how deeply he was loved by his family and how much he loved them.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Love, Mary Rose

I am a friend of the Lemke Family and have come to know them as Karen's tennis buddy. Soon after I met Karen, about 16 years, we became fast friends, and soon after that, Karen learned her Dad had cancer. Since his diagnosis, it is remarkable how full his life has been and what a positive attitude he had. He was able to be a constant source of love, fun and entertainment for Katie and Alison...Karen and Bob too. Karen often shared memories of her Dad, his athletic challenges and abilities, his positive enthusiasm for life and the great love he had for his family. I met Maurice or "Karen's Dad" or "Pop Pop" on several occassions. I was fortunate to be able to see for myself all of the endearing qualities that
Karen described.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Love, Rose Kulp
