Obituary of Olumide Emuleomo
It is with great sadness that the family of Olumide Olajire Emuleomo announce his passing on Thursday, June 13 at his home in Bernardsville, NJ. He was 59 years old.Olu was born on November 23, 1959 at Jericho Nursing Home in Ibadan, Nigeria. He was the first born son of Chief Adeneye and Chief (Mrs.) Dorcas Emuleomo. He graduated with a “Grade 1” distinction from Government College Ibadan (High School) — “GCI” in 1975. He also graduated with first class honors (summa cum laude) in Computer Science at the University of Ife, Ile-Ife,Nigeria in 1980. He was an accomplished athlete. Olu received Masters degrees at Florida Institute of Technology and Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. From a young age, Olu was always a high-energy person who loved every minute of life. Always known as “the life of the party” and “the last one on the dance floor,” Olu’szest for life was evident to all who met him. Olu will be loving remembered by his wife of 19 years, Uchente, and his adoring children Tunji (17) and Oyinda(9). He is survived by his other, (Chief) Mrs. Dorcas Emuleomo and his siblings, Taiwo, Kehinde, Solape and Busola, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and godchildren.
Olu spent 30 years on Wall Street-- Lehman Brothers, The Coffee, Sugar and Cocoa Exchange, Merrill Lynch and Wachovia. He spent the last 10 years as the Chief Technology Officer of Trade Informatics, in New York. His focus and passions were golf, computer software and algorithmic trading. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 21, 2019 at Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home, 101 S. Finley Ave, Basking Ridge, NJ, from 4:00 - 8:00pm. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2019, 11:00am at Grace Episcopal Church, 4 Madison Ave, Madison, NJ 07940. Burial will be private for the family.
