Obituary of Dorothy Pietrucha

Dorothy Bol Pietrucha, 87, most recently of Hellertown, PA, passed away in her sleep at her independent living facility on the morning of December 24th.  Funeral services will be held at St. James Roman Catholic Church at 184 S. Dorothy lived in Newark, NJ, Maplewood, NJ, West Orange, NJ and Basking Ridge, NJ before moving to Bethlehem, PA, in late 2013 and onto Hellertown, PA in October, 2018.  She began her career at the age of 16 for Pulaski Savings and Loan Association and progressed in banking to become a vice president at what is now Wells Fargo.  Dorothy’s lifelong passions were singing, polka dancing and her Catholic faith.  She could enliven any room with her sunny disposition and made friends easily.  Dorothy was married to the late Frank A. Pietrucha for 58 years.  She is survived by her daughter, Diane Fischer and husband James Fischer, her daughter Denise Tortora and husband Anthony Tortora, and her son Frank J. and partner John McGaw, and her grandchildren, Christopher and Lindsey Tortora.
