Obituary of John G. Kerner

John G. Kerner, Jr, age 55 of Branchburg, passed away on January 10, 2017. John was born June 28, 1961 in Queens, NY to the late John Kerner and Margaret Kerner. He is survived by his mother, Margaret Kerner of Manchester, NJ and his two sisters, Kathy Kerner DiMaggio (Wayne) of Branchburg, NJ and Mary Leonard (Steve) of Dublin, OH. He was uncle to Jonathan DiMaggio, Melissa DiMaggio, Andrew Leonard and Elizabeth Leonard. He also leaves behind many friends and family that will miss him dearly. John was raised in River Vale, NJ and was a member of the Pascack Valley High School Class of 1979. John has lived in Basking Ridge, Flanders, Bernardsville and Branchburg. He was employed by Jaeger Lumber as a Delivery Driver for over 30 yrs. He loved camping, the NY Jets and Mets and the Adirondack Mountains. He was a big man with an even bigger heart and will mostly be remembered for being "Too Tall". Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home, 101 S. Finley Ave, Basking Ridge, from 9:00 – 11:30am. Funeral Mass will follow at 12 Noon at St. James Church, Basking Ridge. Interment will be private for the family.
