Obituary of Dana M. Uhler

Dana Vittorio Uhler lost her courageous battle with brain cancer in Overlook Hospital, Summit, on Saturday evening, October 30, 2010. She was 37 years old. Throughout the day and night she was surrounded by her loving husband, family and friends. Our beautiful Dana bravely passed peacefully shortly after 11:00 pm to join her devoted grandfathers, Thomas McKay and Thomas Vittorio. She was a graduate of Bernards High School, the Culinary Institute of America, New Hyde Park, and earned her BA from San Francisco University. Before staying at home to care for her adored children, she was employed at Zagat Survey in New York City as assistant to the Chief Technology Officer. Dana gave joy and love to all who knew her, and she will live on through Collin, 7 yrs., and McKaylea, 5 yrs. Along with her beloved children, she is survived by her adoring husband, Christopher Uhler, her loving mother, Linda McKay, sister, Kerry Vittorio and her devoted maternal grandmother Mary McKay; her loving father, Tony Vittorio, devoted paternal grandmother, Pierina Vittorio, and loving stepmother, Mary Vittorio; adoring mother and father in-law, Tori and Joseph Uhler, sister and brother-in-law, Melin and David Lindsay, nephews and niece, Joey, Charlie and McKenna; and dear grandparents through marriage, Mimi and Pop-Pops Uhler. Additionally, she is survived by her loving stepbrother, John Farrell, wife Casey, niece Sylvie, and stepsister Amanda and husband Patrick Burns. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, November 5, at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Seney Drive, Bernardsville, NJ.
