Obituary of Rose G Lynn

Rose G. Lynn, 78, of Bernardsville passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at her home. She was born in Far Hills, NJ and graduated from Bernards High in 1955. Rose is a parishioner and volunteer of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Bernardsville, NJ. She retired in 2001 as an office manager for the Law Firm of Harry P. Beldon, Esq., where she was employed for 47 years. Rose was a wizz at shorthand. After retirement, she worked part time at Fellowship Village, and volunteered at the Visiting Nurse Association at their rummage sales. She was also involved with the Peapack Jr. Women's Club. Rose was an avid golfer, winning many trophies at tournaments. Star bowler making several headlines in local newspapers and also winning many trophies. She also played women's softball and basketball. Rose loved to crochet and spend time with family and friends. She traveled to Bermuda, Portugal, Spain, and Hawaii. Rose is survived by her loving husband William. Her brother in law John Sternick and many nieces, nephews, godchildren, and great nieces and nephews whom she loved very much. Rose is predeceased by her sister Rita Sternick, and her parents Stanley and Mary. She also had many friends who will miss her presence. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 27, 2016 at Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home, 101 S. Finley Ave, Basking Ridge, NJ from 12:00pm – 3:00pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 28, 2016, 10:00am. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
