Obituary of Henry C Snyder

Henry C. Snyder, Jr., 74, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2016 surrounded by his family at their home in Basking Ridge, NJ after a sixteen month struggle with mesothelioma. Henry was born on New Year's Eve 1941 in Yonkers, NY to Henry and Anna Snyder. After graduating Saunders Technical High School he served in the US Navy receiving an honorable discharge in 1965. Following his service he attended business school after which he joined IBM where he worked as a Systems Engineer for 30 years before retiring from the company. He continued to work for companies including Chubb, Bear Stearns and Insys until his illness. He enjoyed playing golf, yelling at the NY Giants and spending time with his family. He is predeceased by his parents Henry and Anna Snyder, his brother Robert Snyder, and his sister Evelyn Krempasky. He is survived by his wife of fifty-one years Lynn Snyder, his children Steven Snyder, Michele Galvin, Pamela Bochow, Gregory Snyder, Jennifer Devine, their spouses Jennifer, Robert, Joel, Jennifer and Kevin. He leaves behind twelve grandchildren Benjamin and Samuel Snyder, Robert, Jeffery, David, and Alexander Galvin, Kaia and River Bochow, Daniel and Emma Snyder, and Nicholas and Tyler Devine. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home, 101 S. Finley Ave, Basking Ridge, NJ from 1:00pm – 4:00pm. Funeral Service will be held Monday, October 10, 2016 at 10:00 am at Holy Trinity Church, 120 Dover Chester Rd, Randolph, NJ.
