Obituary of Marian L Jones

Marian L. (Valentine) Jones passed away on July 28, 2016 at Exeter Hospital in New Hampshire. She was 77 years old. Marian was born in Montclair, NJ, to Claude and Catherine (Reddan) Valentine and lived in Verona and Morristown before settling in Brookside, NJ, for more than 35 years. After working 20 years as a Personal and Executive Assistant, she retired to Mt. Pleasant, SC, where she was actively involved with the East Cooper Habitat for Humanity. In 2014, she moved to New Hampshire to be closer to her family. Marian loved traveling, the beach and watching football. She was known for her homemade chocolate chip cookies. She is survived by her brother, John Craig Valentine of Seabrook, NH, her daughter, son-in-law and grandson, Katie, Sam and Eli Witzig of West Orange, NJ, and her son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Valima Jones of Clarks Summit, PA. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews whom she loved. She was predeceased by younger brother, Claude Valentine of Columbia, NJ in 2009. Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 2, 2016, 4:00 - 7:00PM at Gallaway & Crane Funeral Home, 101 South Finley Avenue, Basking Ridge.
