To all of Barbara's family and friends,
I was a co-worker of Barbara's for several years. She was always a "class act". Even now, many years after her retirement, she is missed and remembered fondly May your treasured memories bring comfort to you during this difficult time.

To Al and all the family,
I am so sorry I was not with you in person this weekend to celebrate Barbara's life. Having been friends since 7th grade, we shared a great deal together and also with all of you & my family. I have so many great memories! May the memory of all that your family shared together help you through this difficult time, knowing you did all you could to keep her happy at home & knowing she is now at peace.
Love to all, Carol Scoville

Dear Mr. Olsen, children, and grandchildren,
Our deepest and most heartfelt sympathy goes out to all of you at the the loss of your dearly loved wife, mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Olsen was our daughter, Olivia's, 4th grade teacher.
It was a very big deal at the time because we had just moved to Tewksbury on August 16, 1996 from Mainz, Germany. As you can imagine it was a big and scary change for Olivia from going to a German school to suddenly entering an American school and needing to quickly learn to spell in English -- among many other differences. Olivia could speak a little English, but often used German grammar. Mrs. Olsen was unbelievably patient and kind to Olivia and truly went above and beyond to make this big transition for Olivia go as smoothly and as easily as possible. Mrs. Olsen was truly (in our opinion) born to be a teacher - she was an absolutely FABULOUS teacher!!! Everyone adored her !!! She made such a positive impression on Olivia. Mrs. Olsen managed to make a young girl who didn't paricularly enjoy going to school in Germany -- love to attend school at OTS !!! We have always been sooooo grateful to Mrs. Olsen for all she did for Olivia, and I made a point to tell her this many times myself. It is painfully clear that such a loving and giving woman like Mrs. Olsen will be sorely missed by ALL who knew and loved her !!!
Olivia works and lives in Los Angeles, CA. and sends you all her deepest sympathy. She told me Mrs. Olsen was the best teacher she ever had --- because she taught her to have confidence in herself; something she had never experienced in her German school.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this very sad and difficult time.
With our deepest sympathy and appreciation.
BJ, Walter and Olivia JAHN
