Shirley and Bob were good friends and Bob a great workplace associate. We will miss them very much. The funeral this morning was a beautiful tribute to Bob and we know he is in good hands. We will fondly remember them always in our thoughts and prayers. We also keep the family in our prayers during this difficult time.
With sincere affection, James & Aretta Muir

We've been remembering the good times we had with Bob and Shirley when they were neighbors on Launcelot Lane. The get togethers continued when they moved to Bernrdsville. They sure knew how to entertain! We know they are now back together which is how it should be. Our thoughts are with the family at this time.

Dear JoAnn, Sharon, Tom , Judi & Michele. We are truly sorry for your loss. It was always a great time when ever the Hayes visited Lockport or we traveled out east. Both your parents were fun to be around & made you feel welcome when visiting. Your mom with making sure we had plenty eat / always full & your dad with his Great Stories! I miss them both but know they are both here in spirit as with others in faith. We will see them all some day.
I want to Thank You All for choosing Joliet Cathlic Academy as a benifactor for donation. Having also graduated from the old Joliet Catholic School like your Dad & now combined with the girls SFA school that your mom & our mom went to, to what has become JCA, I want you to know that the Great Catholic Education TRADITION is Alive & Well! From the new Victory Light Quad to all the great improvements under way to the school building. Any & all donations are much appreciated , I only wish we could of driven the RV with all the Joliet a Catholic Victory Lights decals out to Uncle Bobs Funeral to give him a final Tail Gate Party in Style. :-) Love you all ! Uncle Bob always put family both near and extended ahead of personal concerns.
No trip to help a family member or commemorate an event was ever too much for him.
He will be missed for many reasons, but I personally am grateful for the generosity of spirt that symbolized him. That is a legacy his children and grandchildren can fondly and proudly remember.

Dear Dad,
Thank you for being the best father in the world! You taught me so much. You were always there for me thru the good times and the challenging times. I will forever miss your smile, your kindness and of course your humor. You will always be my Papa Bear!
Rick and I were so happy that you lived with us after Mom died. Together we grieved for Mom and now you are with her. Your eternal peace with Mom and the rest of the family is our consolation.
When we asked you each morning how you were doing you always said with a big smile, "I'm still here!" Dad, I believe that you are still here with us now in spirit and I pray that you will guide us from above. You and Mom gave me the gift of my faith and for that I am forever grateful.
Love you, Dad, and miss you,
JoAnn
