Obituary of Wayne F Frair
Wayne Frair, 88, of Basking Ridge, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Morristown Medical Center.
He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on May 23, 1926, spent most of his childhood in Melrose, Massachusetts. He served in the United States Navy from 1944 - 1946.
Wayne attended Houghton College, A. B. (zoology), 1950; Wheaton College, B. S. (zoology), 1951; University of Massachusetts, M. A. (embryology), 1955; Rutgers - The State University, Ph. D. (biochemical taxonomy), 1962.
Author of more than one hundred research papers including those dealing with the topic of "Creation and Evolution". Author of two books entitled, Science and Creation and Biology and Creation, Co author of a book entitled A Case for Creation.
A witness for the defense at the December 1981 creation vs. evolution trial in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Research interests primarily have involved turtles with emphasis upon biochemical taxonomy.
Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, American Scientific Affiliation, Creation Research Society, and Victoria Institute in England. Also a member of many other scientific societies.
President of the Creation Research Society 1986-1993.
Wayne was a faculty member of The King's College in New York since 1955 and currently Professor Emeritus of Biology. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Frair, of Basking Ridge, NJ.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2015, 10:00 am at Fellowship Village Nursing Home, 9000 Fellowship Road, Basking Ridge NJ. Internment was held privately for the family.
