Obituary of Barbara Marie Maronpot

Barbara Marie Maronpot, Nee D' Annunzio 82 of Bernardsville died on July 31st at her residence. Born in Morristown she resided in Bernardsville for 49 years coming from Basking Ridge. Barbara was the daughter of the late Salvatore D'Annunzio who was a prominent builder in Morristown and who built the county court house, the community theatre, the rail road station and many other commercial buildings in Morristown. He constructed her first home in Basking Ridge and gave it to her as a wedding present. She was a graduate of Morristown High School and The College of St. Elizabeth. She worked for a patent attorney in Washington D.C. and then worked for AT&T in Basking Ridge and Morristown as a Communication and Educational Administrator, retiring from that position in 1995. She then worked for Macrosoft in Madison until 2000. Upon retirement, she was a receptionist for Dr. Maria Costea in Basking Ridge. She was a member of the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Bernardsville and had been a volunteer at Morristown Memorial Hospital. Her Marriage to Dr. Raymond C Maronpot ended in divorce. She is survived by two sons, Raymond C Maronpot II and his wife Kim, of Manahawkin, and Bruce D. Maronpot of Bangkok and a daughter Dr. Bobbie D Maronpot and son in law Chris Gallaway of Bernardsville. She is also survived by four grandchildren Lisa Rae Tansug of Califon, Heather Rae Maronpot of Hoboken, Raymond C. Maronpot III of Jersey City, and Lauren Elizabeth Maronpot of Basking Ridge and two great grandchildren, Karya Kayra Tansug and Kyle Burak Tansug. She was predeceased by two sisters, Grace Huster in 2006 and Arlene D'Annunzio in 2009. Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 6th at 10 AM; At the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 111 Claremont Rd, Bernardsville. Interment will follow at Holy Rood Cemetery in Morris Township. Relatives and Friends may visit on Thursday August 5th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Gallaway & Crane Funeral Home, 101 S.
