Uncle Herbie, I will always remember you. You were always quick with the quarter behind the ear trick, and many tricks that always put a big smile on my face, and still does when I think about you. I love you Uncle Herbie, you will always be in my heart and in my thoughts.

Growing up less than a mile away from my Aunt and Uncle, I remember many Saturday's spent playing at their home with my cousins. The door was always open.
Uncle Herb, you will always be in my thoughts.

My husband Tom and I never met Herb or Louise face to face but he was such a wonderful contact for us to have doing genealogy. He shared so much of the information he had on my great grandparents and the records of the Applin family in England and the Isaac Potts family. We were so grateful to him. I know this is over a year since his death but I just came across his death notice tonight. We lived in Arizona at the time of our first contact with Herb. In my conversations with him on the phone I could tell what a good man he was and felt very indebted to him for sharing all the files he sent to us. I will always remember his generosity in sharing with me many things I never knew about my family. It was such a wonderful experience for me and I have been able to pass it on to members of my immediate family so we can celebrate our family history. This would not have happened if it hadn't been for Herb..
