Obituary of Robert Damstrom

Robert "Bob" Damstrom, 83, of Basking Ridge, NJ, passed away, Saturday, September 6, 2014 at his home. Robert is survived by his daughter, Donna Moscatello and her husband Paul of Brooklyn, NY. Son, Kenneth Damstrom and his wife Patti of Short Hills, NJ, Sister, Eleanor Dalaker of Emerson ,NJ ; Five grandchildren, Christopher, Brianne, Matthew, Emily, and Meg, as well as many nieces and nephews. Robert was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to all. Bob always referred to himself as the "Brooklyn Boy" even after moving his family to Staten Island where he lived for over 40 years. He never let go of his roots in Bay Ridge and always spoke of Brooklyn as his home. He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Dolores. Visitation and services will be held on Wednesday, September 10 from 10:00 am until 12 Noon at the Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home in Basking Ridge, New Jersey.
