Dear Mom, I miss you already and can't believe you are really gone. You will always be in my thoughts. I have too many memories to just pick on out. But I will always remember the smile you gave me and Marie just before you left this world.

Grandma, I can't imagine being on this earth without you. You have mean't so much to me in so many ways, but what I am most thankful for is that you raised the best mother I could have asked for. I am everything I am today because of her, and I know that you and her not only share the same qualities, but passed them down to myself and my sister to share for generations. I will miss your smile and wink, your scent and your loving kisses on my forehead. But most of all, I will miss seeing your face and the way you told me you loved me everytime you saw me. Some things are just priceless and you Grandma are that. I will carry you in my heart forever. Love, Brett

Thats how i've always felt about you Grandma. It's been an absolute blessing being your granddaughter. Although I cannot see you,
I feel your presence near. I will hold you close in my heart.
Until we meet again!
Love you forever!

It was an honor and a pleasure to meet Marie at the wedding shower for Brett and I two years ago. I remember it vividly because Brett and I had been dating for several years and hadn't had the chance to meet her yet, so when I finally did she didn't disappoint. She was very happy to meet "the Italian boy" her granddaughter was dating and I was very greatful to be in the presence of the matriarch of such a large family. She welcomed me with open arms and talked to me like she knew me for years. I am thankful I got to meet you Marie and I promise to always take care of your granddaughter.

I believe it was Meister Eckhart who wrote: "If the only prayer you say in your entire life is thank you, it will be enough." So here is my prayer to you, Mom. Thank you for giving me life on that hot July day in 1955. Thank you for being a strong, constant disciplinarian as well as a forever supportive parent throughout my childhood and teens. (I needed it!) Thank you for admiring and respecting the man I loved and married -- as he did you all these many years. Thank you for your pride and joy in my sons, Jeff and Sean. Thank you for the honor of caring for you in recent years, for in that time I have gained more precious knowledge and wisdom than you will ever know. Finally, Thank you for being my Dear True Friend as well as my Beloved Mother. Lucky Me. Amen.
Until we meet again, much love and joy to you in your next Life. Remember to visit me in my dreams. -- Your Marie Theresa

a wonderful lady.
