Obituary of Sarah Spofford

Sarah (Sally) Spofford died on July 14, 2014. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-laws Zan and Lizabeth Spofford Smith and Keith and Leslie Spofford Russell as well as four grandchildren Carl Smith, Emily Smith Williams, Sarah Russell, and Ariele Russell. A long time resident of Bernardsville, NJ, she lived most recently at Fellowship Village in Basking Ridge, NJ. The family will be having a private memorial service. At the age of seven, Sally realized that making art was the direction her life would take. She attended Swarthmore College as a Fine Arts major. Also, she studied at the Arts Student League and the China Institute in New York City. Her paintings and sculptures have been displayed in exhibitions and galleries of selected collections including The Hunterdon Art Museum, where she was a life long trustee. Her art work will be in a memorial exhibit there in the fall of 2015.
