Obituary of June C Harris

Roanoke Rapids, NC - Mrs. June Claire Ammon Harris, age 81 of Roanoke Rapids, NC died May 23, 2014. Mrs. Harris was born July 17,1932 in New York City, the daughter of the late A. John Ammon and Clair Elizabeth Lomax Ammon. She worked for many years as a special education teacher. She is survived by her husband Garland Harris, her three sons, Gary Harris and his wife Kathleen, Glenn Harris and his wife Dianne and Gregg Harris and his wife Elizabeth. Three grandchildren, Andrew, Rebecca and Miranda. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 27,2014 ay 11:00 AM at All Saints Episcopal Church with Rev. Ruth Gregory officiating. A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 12:00 Noon at Somerset Hills Cemetery in Basking Ridge, New Jersey. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St Barnabas Foundation in memory A.J. and Claire Ammon, 95 Old Short Hills Road, West Orange, NJ 07052. Arrangements are being handled by Massey Funeral Home, Roanoke Rapids, NC and Galloway and Crane Funeral Home, Basking Ridge, NJ.
