Obituary of Alan Lauber

Alan L. Lauber, 77 of Basking Ridge, was born into eternal life on May 14th, 2010. Born in Orange, NJ, Alan moved to Maplewood in 1945. He then lived in North Caldwell before moving to Short Hills in 1979 and to Basking Ridge in 1993. Alan graduated from Brown University, class of 1955, and then received his MBA from Columbia Graduate School in 1957, majoring in International Business.Mr. Lauber was employed by Hoffman LaRoche for 23 years and Organon Pharmaceuticals from 1982 until his retirement in 1995. He was also a trustee at Turning Point for 30 years. He is survived by his wife Patricia Lauber, children, Fred Lauber, Wendy Lauber and Nancy Lauber McGuirk, and four grandchildren: Kyle and Catherine Lauber, and John Jr. and Patrick McGuirk. Al is also survived by Pat's children, Park B. Smith, Jr., and Patricia S. White, and four more grandchildren: Park III and Blaire Smith, and James and Laura White. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday May, 20th at 2pm at the Gallaway & Crane Funeral Home, 101 S. Finley Ave, Basking Ridge, NJ.
