Obituary of Barbara C Rolstad

Barbara Cannon Rolstad, 82, of Naples, FL died December 6, 2013.  Barbara was born and raised in Summit, NJ.  She was a 1949 graduate from Summit High School.  She married the late Gaylord Rolstad in 1956 and raised her children in Gillette and Basking Ridge, NJ.  She was employed by AT&T as a human resource manager.  Barbara loved to work and thoroughly enjoyed her job.  She retired from AT&T in 1996 and shortly thereafter moved to Manchester, NJ to be closer to the shore.  In 2009 she moved to Naples, FL.  Barbara loved the beach and was an avid walker.  She cherished her walks along the boardwalk.  She had a great interest in genealogy and also enjoyed playing cards and games.  Barbara loved a great challenge.  She will be greatly missed.  Her husband, Gaylord, predeceased her in 1980.  Also predeceasing her was her eldest daughter, Kimberley Johnson.  Her loving parents were the late Paul and Helen Cannon.  Surviving is her brother, Irving Cannon, of Weston, CT and her sister, Marlene Fisher, of New Providence, NJ, her daughters, Deborah Ruggiero of Hamilton, AL and Stephanie Carney of Naples, FL, 8 grandchildren; Jason Kirkhuff, Kristen Bago, Amanda LaVornia, Julia Johnson, Jessica Ruggiero, Ryan, Jeffrey, and Meghan Carney, and 7 great grandchildren. Gathering for family and friends will be held at Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home, 101 S. Finley Avenue, Basking Ridge, NJ on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 from 10:00am to 12:00pm. Internment will immediately follow at Restland Memorial Park in East Hanover, NJ.
