Obituary of John J McDonald

John J McDonald Jr. joined his family and friends at the hand of God on June 26, 2013.son of John and Grace McDonald Sr.; brother of Eugene McDonald, husband to Patricia Marguerite Histon,; father of Jerome, Theresa, Linda, Mary Pat, Kathleen, Matthew, and Sean; grandfather to Shane, Casey, Kelly and Kristin. He served his country honorably as a First Lt in his beloved Marine Corp. Partner of Peter P. McDermott of 42 Broadway as a lifelong stockbroker. Close and loyal friend to both his NYC and NJ buddies and their wives. Committed volunteer to his parishes St. James and Our Lady of Perpetual Help, his schools Xavier and Manhattan, and Delbarton School. A lifelong Giant Fan through the losses and the victories. Jack, as he was called by friends, lived his life with family and friends teaching and sharing his code of  Honor, Courage and Commitment. A career on Wall Street was his way of providing for his family, a family he only wanted the best for through good times and bad. He lived a life of service to both his church and community. He handled these last few years of his life with dignity and his faith never wavered. He will be missed by family, his friends and the friends of his wife, children and grandchildren. He shall rest in peace.
