So sad to not be in New Jersey with my cousins Lee and Diana for the service on Wednesday. I have many memories of Aunt Jeannie! Wow could she cook, I remember her baked ziti was fantastic! Her nieces all benefited by her handmade blankets and baby clothes, which were beautiful! She had many talents was hard working and always kept a beautiful home!My Aunt Jeannie loved her family and we all loved her so! She will be missed but is at home with all the family before her in Heaven!God bless

My Aunt Jeannie was one of my favorite Aunt's. The last time I saw her was when cousin Debbie and I visited N.J., back in 2008. We spent the evening with her and Lee, had dinner together and watched a video of Uncle Howard with his buddies at the farm where they went hunting every year. We laughed and cried over the memories we shared, looked at old family pictures, too. It was a highlight of that trip. I will remember my Aunt with love. I loved her southern accent and how soft her cheek was when I gave her an affectionate kiss. My heart goes out to my cousin's Diana and Lee, and their children, as they lay to rest their amazing mother and grandmother. Gone from our sight, but never from our heart....rest in peace my lovely Aunt Doris Jeane Houck.
