So sorry to hear aboit Billy, my hus band and I were just talking about him the other day and so decided tonight to do a searxh. Billy went to St.John;s and Bergen Catholic with my husband and then to St. Cecilia with me, He had such a brilliant personality and had no problem fitrong in and meeting many friends when he went to Saints. My husband and I attended Billy and Sharon's wedding. Last time we spoke to him he was living in the Bronx, had no idea he moved to Basking Ridge, we are in Parsippany. Our condolancs to his family and may he RIP. May the road rise to meet you, May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, The rains fall soft upon your fields. ☘

I met Bill sometime after my wife and I got married; she and he worked together in NYC prior to her starting a new life in California. Bill and I meet on several occasions in California and in New York City. I grew up in Brooklyn and was a Dodger fan. Bill was a BIG baseball fan and knew much more than I about the game, the teams, and the players. We spoke at times on the phone sharing thoughts about: the news; MLB; a little about our lives; his sports betting and my gambling at the poker table. We served in different branches of the the military at different times and under different conditions but still shared some of our service stories and appreciated each other's service to our country. Bill was a good man. He had the ability to connect with people in a joyful manner and had a great Irish laugh. Tragically, he suffered during the past few years and lost his special way in the world. To paraphrase George Eliot, Bill differed from me in everything except the fact of being, like all of us, a struggling error-prone human being. I miss him and wish his family and friends the best as they travel on without his physical presents.
