Dear Annabelle and family, The old car hobby made it possible to meet some wonderful folks. At the top of the list would be Bill. He always made the outings entertaining. We couldn't wait to hear his stories peppered with those witty comments. We are so sorry to hear of his passing. With love and prayers ♥️♥️

Dear Annabelle and family,
We're thinking of all the wonderful memories of Bill over the years. I'm especially grateful the two of you came all the way to San Diego for my wedding in 2009. It was important to share this special day with you and Bill.
As Godparents to Andrew and myself, you've always looked out for us and this has meant the world to me!
We love you very much and will be thinking of you during this difficult time.

Dear Annabelle.
The news of Bill’s passing deeply saddens me. His loss is profound, and I can only imagine the depth of your grief. Please know that my heart goes out to you, and I offer my most sincere condolences.
Both of you have played an outsized part in my life and my family’s story. After all, you and Bill were the first to welcome me into the world back in Teheran! Bill and you were always so generous, kind, and present in our lives. It’s hard to imagine Bill not being with us anymore. I’ve always had a deep affection and respect for Bill. His dry wit, passion for technology/gadgets/movies/cars/photography, and remarkable international career have always inspired me. I don’t know if I ever told you this, but Jonathan’s middle name, William, was given to him in honor of Bill. For me, Bill was just so cool and interesting. Growing up, I always wanted to be like him. I guess part of me still does. What an incredible life he lived. What an amazing legacy he leaves.
I am somewhat heartened by the thought that wherever Bill is, I hope his good friends Jim and Olivia will find him and reminisce about the good old days in Teheran, Belgium, France, Potters Bar, New Jersey…
Annabelle, as you navigate this difficult time in the days ahead, please know that you are not alone. Sending all of you my love and wishing you the strength and peace you need.

My dearest Annabelle, Elizabeth and Caroline, my heart is heavy reading this. Bill was a very special man who used to take me out for icecream in his vintage car when I was a little living in New Zealand. I remember you girls coming home and how I loved spending time with you, swimming in your pool and baking with your amazing mum. Such a treasured time and one I will always remember. Sending all my love to you all from New Zealand. Love always Alex Macdonald xxxx
