Obituary of Thomas L Lombardi
Thomas Lombardi a loving father, brother, grandfather and uncle passed away on March 10, 2024. He leaves behind a legacy of love, caring, understanding, and many fond memories.
Thomas was born on April 21, 1947 in Queens, New York to Louis Lombardi and Frances Stuckel. He was a loving father to Michael (Elizabeth) and Kara Lombardi brother to Marie Rezabek(John Rezabek), Michael P. Lombardi, grandfather to Colin, Olivia and Tyler Lombardi and Uncle to all his nieces and nephews.
Thomas attended Holy Cross high school, and furthered his education at Saint Edwards college in Austin Texas.
After graduating with a bachelors in marketing he went to work in the family appliance business, ELDEE appliances. Thomas mastered his craft and prided himself on being the top home appliance expert on Long Island. When purchasing a home appliance there was no model number nor home dimension Thomas couldn’t tackle. His attention to detail was unmatched.
After numerous years, he went on to build his own personal appliance company named Main Street Lighting , located in Flushing, Queens. While the business thrived, Thomas moved to Dix Hills Long Island, drawing closer to his two children, Michael and Kara. He loved taking his two children to live sporting events, discussing the landscape of current events and enjoying his favorite Italian dish.
He thoroughly enjoyed watching sports, discussing/debating politics and taking in old time classic movies.
The family welcomes relatives and friends, to celebrate Thomas’s life.
A memorial service will be held at Galloway and Crane 101 South Finley Avenue Basking Ridge New Jersey from 10 to 1 PM on March 22nd
As we celebrate Thomas, let us remember how he lit up the room with his gregarious nature, engaging personality, his love for others, and absolute kindness.
His personality was infectious
As Thomas used to say “ you are never as bad as your worst day and never as good as your best, but always somewhere right in the middle”
