Obituary of Michael R Leonard

Michael (Mike) Raymond Leonard, 36, of Somerville, NJ passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 18, 2024

Visitation will be held at Gallaway & Crane Funeral Home, 101 S Finley Ave, Baskinig Ridge, NJ on Monday, February 26 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady Of Perpetual Help 111 Claremont Road, Bernardsville, NJ on Tuesday, February 27 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Michael was born on July 8, 1987 to Nancy and Raymond Leonard. He grew up in Millington, NJ and attended the School of Saint Elizabeth and Immaculata High School where he excelled academically and made lifelong friends. He graduated from New York University Stern School of Business in 2010. By no surprise to anyone that knew him, he was also admitted to Mensa, a high-IQ society.

Michael spent many years in New York City working in the music industry, something he was very passionate about. Most recently, Michael worked in IT solutions at Cloud Atlas Technologies. He was always a computer whiz from a very young age and was always everyone's go-to tech support, whether he liked it or not. He loved everything technology related and enjoyed working in a field where he could "geek out" every day.

Everyone that knew Michael, loved him. He always led with kindness and humor. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and would drop anything to help his loved ones. He was so passionate about so many things and loved to learn. He was determined to be the best he could be in everything that he did, whether it was music, weight lifting, video games, or any other one of his countless hobbies. He will be missed by so many and will be forever in our hearts.

Michael is survived by his father, Raymond Leonard of Branchburg, his sister, Katie Leonard of Jersey City, his beloved doggo, Luna, and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Leonard.
