Obituary of Louis M Savarese

Louis Savarese, age 72, of New York City, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2024, after bravely battling ALS for four years.

Born on April 17, 1951, to Francis and Gladys Savarese in Brooklyn, NY, Louis's journey was one marked by resilience and dedication. He graduated from James Madison High School in 1969 before pursuing a degree in Business at St. Francis College.

Following his graduation, Louis assumed stewardship of the family butcher shop, Michaels Prime Meats, nestled in Flatbush, Brooklyn. It was here that he honed his entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to community.

In 1970, Louis crossed paths with Gail Marino at St. Francis College, setting the stage for a lifetime of love and companionship. Together, Louis and Gail welcomed two children into their lives, Christopher and Jenna.

In 2011, with a profound sense of duty and nostalgia, Louis bid farewell to the family business, embracing retirement with grace. His retirement years were filled with newfound passions, including real estate ventures, automotive interests, and cherished moments with family and friends. Louis leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Gail, his son Christopher, daughter-in-law Lisa, daughter Jenna, son-in-law Jason, and his treasured grandchildren, Louis, Christopher, and Vivienne, who made him happy every day.
