Obituary of David C Aul

David Crane Aul, 87, of Basking Ridge, NJ, passed away on January 2, 2024.  David was a loving father, grandfather, and brother.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

David had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed boating, trap shooting, fishing, motorcycling, and working in his yard.  He also had a love for woodworking, computers, and cherished time spent with his family.

David is survived in by his son Kenneth Aul and his wife Wendy, their three children Ryan, Courtney (fiancé Dom), and Sean, his daughter Deryl O’Brien and her husband Peter, their two children William and Lindsey, his sister in law Selma MacTerrnan, numerous nieces and nephews, and his cat Mimi.  He was predeceased by his loving wife Linda, his sister Sandra Burton, his brother Bertram MacTerrnan, brother in law Glenn Burton, sister in law Joan Hyde, his parents Kenneth and Ruth Aul, and numerous beloved pets.

David proudly served in the Army during the Korean War and he had a successful career in Information Technology.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday January 10, 2024 at 11:00am at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church at 140 South Finley Avenue, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920.  Friends and family are invited to pay their respects.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to St. Mark’s Episcopal Church or Hospice of NJ.
