Teresa, Christine and Rebecca I am deeply saddened on your dad‘s passing. I met your father in the late 80s when he moved in to twin Lakes on Eastern Avenue a great guy there’s nothing bad I could say about your dad he was so much fun Unfortunately I have medical issues myself and I’m going through procedures as we speak, once again, my condolences also to Karen, his wife, who loved him dearly take care .

Tom and I were good friends growing up in Highbridge. We were always up for a party in our teens and twenties, usually starting off in one of the bars along Ogden Avenue. On one occasion Tom was with a small group going to a picnic. They had a minor accident on the Major Deegan although one of the girls was bleeding slightly from a small cut on her forehead. They were sitting on the side of the expressway waiting for help when Tom famously asked, “Does this mean the picnic is off?” The moral of the story being the party should go on at all costs. As the years went on, we ended up living in different states. We saw each other occasionally in the 1970’s and 1980’s but lost track of each other after that. I will always have vivid memories of my fun-loving buddy. Rest in peace old friend, Harry Hughes

Hi Harry, this is Theresa, Tom's eldest daughter. I remember you and Alice (I believe) quite well. Thank you for the fun story and memories... sounds spot on for my Dad! Hope all is well.
