Dear Ann and family,
Very sorry to hear this sad news. Ted leaves a large legacy of service and faith and love for his family. The two of you did so much to help those less fortunate. Of course, the two of you were so important to the game of golf. I hope within time the large hole in your heart is filled with the beautiful memories you all shared. I hope it helps to know that friends are thinking of you in this time of sorrow. Please accept my deepest sympathies. If my mother were here, she would echo these sentiments. Maybe they will meet in Heaven.
Fondly,
Beth Post

To Ann and to the entire greater Probert family:
Rarely has God made a greater individual. He was so unique in so many ways. A man of great accomplishment, he was always willing to put himself out there and took such a sincere interest in the welfare and betterment of others. I have experienced this personally for the twelve years I was privileged to know Ted. He was the key person opened up the wonders of Mountain Lake to us. Ted was the one who took such a genuine interest in our family and in our kids. Ted rarely talked about himself, but was interested in and informed about many subjects. I see Ted in his wonderful family, many of whom I have come to know.
I will miss our golf and our long talks. Ted, I only wish I had the chance to know you longer, as you have so enriched my life. My friend, you hold a high place in heaven.

Dear Ann
Ted was always my favorite person to run into at Mountain Lake. We had been dinner companions many times when we attended the couples member guest. My sister Gail Lybrook told me about Ted's passing and I am so sorry to hear the news. Tom and I saw Ted briefly at the hotel bar on our visit last February. I will miss my chance of seeing him again. I hope to see you and express my condolences in person.
Sincerely
Leesa Goodson

What a fantastic life Ted lived! Not only the consummate gentleman, as so many have noted, but always had a twinkle in his eye and a zest for life. My condolences to Ann, David and the rest of the family - but I hope most of your memories are the joyful ones!

What a wonderful man Ted was! When I think of him, I think of the ultimate gentleman. He was personable, authentic, and charismatic. He is in my pantheon of men I’ve met. My favorite memory of Ted? I played golf with him a few years ago at a Mountain Lake event and he, after not playing particularly well, handed me at the after-golf cocktail party a handwritten note to read later. In the short message Ted apologized for his lackluster play and complimented me on mine. I had never received such a note before, nor since. I was touched but also given a lesson in proper conduct. And, he reached across generations. Our two younger boys who love Mountain Lake remember him well as a “charming, lovely, kind” man. My wife could go on about him as well. He will be sorely missed. Fond remembrances, Randy & Jeanie Riley
