William R. Kelly posted a condolence

My sincere condolences to Lyn and the Stake Family.
I was very saddened to learn about his passing. I had the great fortune and pleasure to have known and worked with Bill when he was promoted to District Sales Manager in the AT&T Long Lines Philadelphia Sales Division in 1977. I was promoted on the same day to head our Conrail National Account. The Philadelphia Sales Division was probably one of the greatest groups I worked in in my 36 years of AT&T service with Bill and Rhoades Lawton, Tom Cronin, Tim Schrader, Dick Rock and Audrey Shriver. Later, I worked alongside Bill when he was at Headquarters Bedminster in various roles. He was always a consummate professional and distinguished himself at AT&T and I considered him a good friend during those years.
May he rest in peace.
William R. Kelly

Bill was a wonderful leader and was a good advocate for AT&T Hawaii ( even though our revenue and size were smaller than our mainland counterparts.) He was kind and empathic while he had his focus in business. We missed him tremendously. Rest In Peace.

Tom & I have wonderful memories of rounds of golf with Bill and afterwards sharing delicious meals. He was a wonderful man who blessed those he called friends.

Our prayers and thoughts go out to Lynne and the family during this dark and premature hour. I’ve known Bill since the mid 1970’s and from that time until we both retired, he was always the consummate gentleman and ultimate professional. Family and faith always came first, although golf and travel weren’t too far behind. After knowing each other for 25+ years we discovered that we attended the same high school a few years apart. The memories that Bill left will always brighten the days of family and friends.
Fondly,
Jim and Pam Hufnagel
