Obituary of Clara Wolsky

Clara Lydia Wolsky, 80, of Basking Ridge, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2022 in Morristown, New Jersey. She was born Klara Lydia Stimm in Germany to the late Karl and Emma Stimm on October 9, 1941. At the age of 21, she immigrated to the United States where she met and married Thomas Wolsky, the love of her life, and moved to Basking Ridge where she has lived for the past 56 years. Clara worked for Warner Chilcott and M.F. Smith Associates before she and Thomas started T. Wolsky Electric where she has been the Officer Manager for the last 30+ years. Her experience growing up in Germany during World War II left Clara with a strong work ethic, an appreciation for everything she worked for, a focus on what truly matters in life and a generous heart. Clara was talented with a needle and thread, occasionally creating her own outfits and was always available in a pinch to mend a hem or fix a button. Clara enjoyed spending time outdoors whether it be down the shore with her family, working in the garden or making her own fresh wreaths for the holidays. She also enjoyed skiing, reading, puzzles, playing Scrabble and had a passion for dancing. Clara is survived by her husband of 55 years, Thomas, daughter Kendra, son Andrew and his wife Vanessa, grandchildren Caitlin, Lyla, Dalton and Conrad, sister Helen Payson and her husband Steve, her nieces and nephews and many other loving family members and friends. In addition to her parents, Clara was preceded in death by her sister Margaret Goehler. Visitation will be at Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home, 101 S. Finley Ave, Basking Ridge, N.J. on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 16th, 2022 at 10 am at Saint James Church,184 South Finley Ave. Basking Ridge, N.J. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Basking Ridge, N.J.
