Obituary of Margaret M Kenny

Margaret Malley Kenny 3/19/1951 - 1/1/2022 Margaret “Maggie” Kenny, passed away peacefully on New Years Day, surrounded by her loving family. Maggie was a Jersey girl. She was born in Jersey City, grew up in Caldwell and raised her family in Basking Ridge for the last 43 years. Her husband Tom, her 4 children, Matthew and his wife Melissa, Andrew, James and his wife Suzy, and Elizabeth were the loves of her life. She was also blessed to have 5 wonderful grandchildren, Bella, Dylan, Tommy, Cassidy and Elliot. Maggie was active in her community; she was one of the founding members of the Tomorrow’s Children Fund, helping kids with cancer. She and her family were active in St James Parish and she served as the president of the Saint James Home School Association. She worked as a realtor with Weichert and took pride in settling families into our town and helping others move on. Maggie had many lifelong friends. She will be fondly remembered for her comic wit and her effervescent personality. She added fun wherever she went. She is survived by her six siblings and their families, a devoted Mother in-law, and 8 in-laws and their families. She was blessed to have so many cousins, nieces and nephews, too numerous to name. She will be remembered at Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home, 101 S. Finley Ave, Basking Ridge, NJ on Thursday, January 6, 2022 from 2 - 4pm and 6 - 8pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022, 10:00am at a St. James Church, 184 S. Finley Ave, Basking Ridge, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and the Atlantic Visiting Nurse Association.
