Obituary of Patrick McGuirl

Patrick Wilford (Pat) McGuirl, 80, of Branchburg, New Jersey, passed away on December 11 at home. A family gathering to receive friends will be held on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 from 4-7PM at the Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home, 101 South Finley Ave, Basking Ridge, NJ. Pat was born in Jersey City to Wilford and Josephine on February 8, 1941. In 1956, Pat met Marilynn Carli and they were married in 1962. Over 59 years Pat and Marilynn built a beautiful and loving family starting with their three sons, and extending to three wonderful daughters, four grandchildren and their first great grandson. Pat worked as a driver for United Parcel Service for 36 years, retiring at 59. Taking road trips with his wife, caring for his home, and using any excuse to party with his family and friends brought him joy. Pat was adored by all. He had the gift of making everyone he touched feel special and loved. Pat is survived by his wife Marilynn. His sons Michael, Scott and Steven and their spouses Linda, Gwen and Erin. Four Grandchildren Kevin, Ryan, Melissa, Noel and their spouses Margaret, Lucie, and Gopal, as well as his great grandson Miller. Pat is also survived by his siblings Tom and wife Marsha, Bill and wife Claire, Kathy and husband Joe. Pat is preceded in death by his brother Bob.
