Obituary of Patricia McDonald

Patricia Marguerite Histon McDonald passed away peacefully at her home on December 6, 2021. Pat has joined her husband, John J. McDonald, Jr, son, Jerome, daughter, Linda Marie and her parents John and Ethel Histon in eternal life. Pat is survived by her daughters Theresa Zinszer (husband Arthur) of Murrells Inlet, SC, MaryPat Arace (husband John) of West Belmar NJ, Kathleen Troianello (husband Alfonso) of Princeton Junction, NJ, sons Matthew of Perth Amboy, NJ, Sean (wife Kathleen) of Asbury, NJ. Her grandchildren Shane Zinszer (wife Masie) of Nashville TN, Casey Zinszer of Austin, TX, Kelly Troianello of Denver, CO and Kristin Troianello of Hoboken, NJ and great grandchildren Amelia and Edwin Zinszer. Her sister Rosann Jweid of Scotia NY and her nieces and nephews. Pat was born December 28,1929 in Manhattan and grew up in the Parkchester Section of the Bronx before moving to Bernardsville NJ with John to raise their children and then settling down at the Jersey Shore where her parents took her as a child and Pat brought her children, grandchildren to enjoy the beach. Pat made time to go to her children’s sporting events, while running the household and having a full-time job. Pat kept up with here Bronx friends and her NJ friends. They would have dinners together, enjoy each other’s company whether at their homes, seeing a Broadway play or go to see a NY Giants home game. Mom, “May the road rise up and meet you. May the wind always be at you back. May the sunshine warm on your face; the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again may God hold you in the palm of His Hand.” In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite Charity.
