Obituary of Raymond N Lau

Raymond N. Lau, of Summit, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021. Raymond’s viewing will be held on Friday, October 22 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home, 101 S. Raymond was born on December 6, 1947, in Guangdong, China, to Mong Fong Lau and Gam Song Lee. He grew up in Hong Kong, before coming to the United States to attend college. At New York University, he met his beloved wife, MaryAnn; they were married in 1978. He would go on to have a long career as an electrical engineer with the U.S. Department of Defense, retiring in 2011. He loved spending time with his family, playing with his granddog Nori, traveling, playing pickleball, and volunteering at the Furniture Restoration Workshop at SAGE Eldercare in Summit. Raymond is survived by his loving wife, MaryAnn, his children, Jonathan (Anna Kendall) and Marisa (Ted Lui), brother Edmond (Ann), and sister Lai Sam Moy.
