Obituary of Dorothy B Freeman

Dorothy B. Freeman (nee Davis) of Basking Ridge. Dorothy turned 100 years old on 10/21/2020 and passed away peacefully from natural causes on 11/5/2020 at Bryan Manor Assisted Living. She was predeceased by her parents Edgar and Marion Davis, her husband Donald Freeman, her daughter Barbara Freeman, her son James Freeman and her sister Marion Wieboldt. She is survived by her grandchildren Matthew and Molly Freeman, her niece Ellen Wieboldt, many nieces and nephews and many dear friends. She lived her whole life in Bernardsville and Basking Ridge and for 68 of those years she lived in the house her parents built in 1940 on Brook Ave. In 2009 she moved to Ridge Oak, a 55 plus community in Basking Ridge and enjoyed almost 11 years there. She loved to crochet and quilt and was a member of the Ridge Oak knitting club the “Happy Hookers and the Bishop James United Methodist Church quilting club the “Piecemakers”. She treasured all the friendships she made over the years. Through the years Dorothy enjoyed traveling with her husband and children. They made it to all but one state. There will be a family graveside Service and celebration of her life at St Bernard’s Cemetery.
