Manuel Yglesias Obituary Manuel Yglesias, Jr. beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away at the age of 73 surrounded by his loving family at home on October 22, 2020. Born in Newark, NJ, Manny became a champion of the community, a business-owner, a friend to many, and a true believer in the potential of the city. He and his beloved wife Maria moved to Basking Ridge in 1989 where they raised their two sons Brian and Christopher. He loved spending time with his family, gardening, dancing, and travelling especially to Spain and his native Galicia. He was a lover of the arts, sports, reading, history, a good wine and always looked forward to hosting family holidays. Manny’s kindness and generosity have touched so many lives. Nothing gave him more joy than to help others and share in their company. In addition to his wife and sons, Manny is survived by his daughter-in-laws Magda and Andrea, grandchildren Bryce and Elliott, brother Steven, sister-in-law Mia, and many more family members and friends who loved him very much. He was a kind, gentle man and will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Biden for President or Doctors Without Borders in Manny’s honor. A viewing will be held at Gallaway & Crane in Basking Ridge, NJ on Saturday October 24, 2020 from 9am-10:30am followed by a mass at Saint James Church nearby.
