Michelle and Kalmus Family, I am so sorry for your loss. Leslie was always such a warm, kind, and fun person. I have such fond memories her. I can remember being at your home all the time during our high school years ... Robert and his mock “Kiss” Band in the basement with John Rosa, Leslie with her friends... David with his, and of course Michelle and our posse... good times! My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Love Always, Donna Manganelli Sloan

This was my Aunt Leslie. She recently tested positive for COVID-19 and lost her battle today. I am not posting this for pity, but to spread awareness. STAY HOME. I cannot emphasize that enough. I do not want anyone to undergo the pain that my family and I are experiencing. We were unable to be there for her throughout her suffering, and it is honestly so heartbreaking. She had no symptoms prior to being tested and was completely fine. She woke up one day, unable to breathe, and was rushed to the hospital. She fought and fought, but her time came. She was young. She was strong. She was the baddest chick I have ever met. She may have been crazy, but she warmed my heart in ways I can’t even describe. What hurts the most is that my family and I couldn’t say goodbye or be there to comfort her. This could happen to anyone. Just because you’re not affected directly doesn’t mean others are not struggling. This is a global pandemic quarantine, not a time to be hanging out with your friends. There are people struggling. There are people dying. Remember to tell your family and friends that you love them. Do not ever take anything for granted. PLEASE STAY HOME AND STAY SAFE. RIP Aunt Leslie. I am beyond thankful for the time I got to spend with you. You will forever be in my heart and I will never forget the impact you made on my life.

Leslie was a kind soul! Always had a smile on her face even if a storm was brewing around her ! She taught me to forgive so I wouldn’t be beating myself up ! I did her nails for many years , and I can still hear myself screaming “no your nails are still wet’” as she tried to pull her keys from her pockets ! I’m so very sad to know the smile has come to a halt , but it will forever be with me when I think of you !
