Obituary of Dulari L Sawhney

Dulari Lal (“DL”) Sawhney passed away on April 23, 2020, at the age of 82 from complications due to COVID-19 virus.  DL is a resident of Morristown, and formerly resided in Mendham, NJ for 25 years.  His career as a Chemical Engineer with AlliedSignal (later acquired by Honeywell) spanned over 30 years. He was a proud grandfather, admired father, and best friend to many.  DL was an avid investor, risk taker, political enthusiast, phenomenal dancer, and all around, 'life of the party.'  His love knows no bounds and his vibrant spirit lives on through his many relatives and friends.  He will be missed. Born and raised in Kashmir India, DL attended at Banaras Hindu University where he was the Gold Metal recipient for highest class honors and academic achievement.  DL came to the US in the 1960s to attend Columbia University’s graduate engineering program. He is one of three children to the late Bhagat Prithvi Chand Sawhney and Parmeshwari Sawhney. DL is a wonderful brother to two sisters, Shanta Kohl and Kamlesh Kapoor who continue to reside in India.     DL is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Anu Sawhney, his son Paras, his daughter Mille and her husband John MacGregor, his two grandchildren Rooney and Nora MacGregor.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, cousins and dear friends located throughout the world.
