Obituary of Beverly Inez Robertshaw
It is with great sadness that we inform you all of the passing of Beverly Robertshaw.
Beverly and her late husband Herbert had a great love of animals of all types, including running a dachshund kennel during the early 1960’s. She lived in East Brunswick, NJ for nearly 50 years until 2000, then moving to South River and Old Bridge until finally going to live with her son Scott in Middlesex, NJ 3 years ago.
Beverly worked for NJ Bell / Verizon as a supervisor, and served as a member of their Pioneers Group, until she retired in 1992. She then went on to work in several retail businesses, most notably with Target from 2000 through 2010. She also served as a NJ Board of Elections volunteer for many years in East Brunswick.
Beverly is survived by her son Scott Robertshaw and his wife Laurie, grandson Matthew Ridley and his wife April and their children David and Lacey, and great granddaughter Destiny Ridley. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, most notably Rolanda Hossack and Edgar Myers III with whom she had an extremely close relationship.
Beverly is predeceased by her parents Edgar and Viola Myers, husband Herbert Robertshaw, daughter Karen Ridley and her husband David, and granddaughter Laura Lee Ridley.
Funeral proceedings are under the care of Gallaway & Crane Funeral Home, Basking Ridge NJ. Due to the current COVID19 virus gathering restrictions in place, there will be no service at this time. However, the family will be arranging a Celebration Of Life Service once these restrictions are rescinded.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please make a memorial donation in Beverly’s name to The LUPUS Foundation or the American Diabetes Association.
