Obituary of Djerizza Weisz

Djerizza Weisz, 64, of Basking Ridge, NJ, passed away on September 9, 2019 in New York, NY.

Djerizza was born in Manila, Philippines on March 18, 1955. She moved to the United States in 1974 and studied Business Management at Fairleigh Dickinson University, and went on to earn an Executive MBA from Pace University’s Lubin School of Business. Djerizza worked at the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation for 39 years and was an Executive Director for Global Collateral Services. She was an avid dancer and competed in ballroom dancing competitions around the world, earning numerous honors.

Djerizza is survived by her son, Mark Matala, her daughter, Melissa Weisz, and her four beloved grandchildren, Alyssa, Gavin, Caden, and Ryder. She is also survived by her parents Oscar and Remedios, and her five sisters, Bernadette, Beth, Elaine, Bessie, and Gemma, along with many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Gallaway & Crane Funeral Home located at 101 South Finley Avenue, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920 on Friday, September 13, 2019, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A private service and procession to Somerset Hills Memorial Park and Mausoleum will be held for family members at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 14, 2019.
