Hugh, a wonderful man who was so in love with Phyllis, and his family; who genuinely cared for those he knew; he was humble and enjoyed the life he was blessed with. I feel so lucky to have known him for many years and will truly miss him. My love and sympathy to Phyllis and the family. He is not gone, only waiting in a better place.

Heartfelt condolences from the West Coast Wallaces. Hugh was my mother, Amory Wallace’s, cousin. She has been sharing memories with us about her time growing up with Hugh. I was happy to see my moms name as he has a daughter Amory Wallace and wanted to share that my son Conor Wallace Dawson (28, born 1991) also carries the Wallace name forward. Our thoughts are with you. I will share some stories mom has as I get the details.

My heartfelt prayers are for Phyllis as well as their daughters and families. I consider myself lucky to have met Hugh. Such a kind, considerate, and compassionate person. He made all those around him better simply by sharing space and a smile. We will miss him dearly on Sunday mornings.

Hugh was a simply wonderful man that is going to be missed by so many people - quite literally around the world - including us over here in Blighty.
Phyllis and family, we are all thinking of you at this upsetting time and sending you thoughts of love and comfort. We are truly sorry for yours and our loss.
The small teddy (with Hugh’s namesake’s name on it - our son Hugo) that Phyllis and Hugh sent over to us is our son’s favourite toy to hold every night before he goes to sleep. Just as we will always hold Hugh in our hearts; giving us comfort to know that we had the honour of knowing and loving him.
With all our love, Alex, Rex and Hugo xxx

During this time of great sorrow and pain, may it be a source of inner strength to know that there’s a loving God watching over you and that throughout this time of need, He’ll stay close by your side. May the words of Matthew 5:4 “ Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted” bring the entire family comfort and strength. Please accept my sincere condolences.
