Obituary of Ann M Novak

Ann M. Novak, 90, of Basking Ridge, NJ passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Autumn Lakes Nursing Home, Berkeley Heights, NJ after a long illness. Ann was born and raised in Chicago, IL before moving to Basking Ridge where she spent most of her adult life.  She attended Mundelein College in Chicago. Ann was a parishioner of St. James Church. She was a stay at home mom and loved spending time with her children and later her grandchildren. She also had a passion for the card game Bridge. Ann is predeceased by her loving husband Frank J. Novak in 2002, her daughter Catherine Sorge two weeks ago in 2018, sister Mary Margaret Morrissey in 1951, and brother John Morrissey in 1985. Ann is survived by her 9 children, Mary Novak Wilson and husband Frank, Ann P. Novak, Peter Novak and wife Kathryn, Frank Novak and wife Anne, Edmund Novak and wife Sheila, Joan Novak, Patrice Ingram and husband Bryan, Michael Novak, and Marybeth Cramer and husband James. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 11, 2019 at Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home, 101 S. Finley Ave, Basking Ridge, NJ from 10:00am – 12:00pm. Funeral Mass will follow at St. James Church, 184 S. Finley Ave, Basking Ridge, NJ at 12:30pm. Entombment will be private for the family.
