Obituary of Norman A Adams
Norman Adams of Bridgewater died early Monday morning on September 24, 2018. He was 94 years old. Born in Youngstown, Ohio, he moved his family to New Jersey in 1964. He was a long-time employee and executive at AT&T leading teams of engineers that developed cutting edge technologies.
Norman was a World War 2 veteran fighter pilot, proudly flying a P51 fighter plane. He later went on to study engineering while working full-time and raising a family. He retired from AT&T in 1985 and spent much of his time as an accomplished photographer and avid golfer.
Mary and Norm had a second home in Captiva Island, Florida where they spend many years enjoying the sun and surf, along with their beloved dog Zoey and vacationing family.
He was married to Mary Adams for 68 years, who died in 2011, leaving him heartbroken. He was also predeceased by a daughter Kathy who passed in 1998 after a battle with cancer. He leaves behind his sons Norman and Phillip and and their wives, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Also, his sister Wilma Shriver.
There will be a memorial service on October 19, 2018 at 11:00am at Liberty Corner Presbyterian Church, 45 Church Street, Liberty Corner, NJ.
