Obituary of Rita H McGouey

Rita Theresa Harrington McGouey 92, of Basking Ridge passed away on Sept. 18th at Bristol Glen

Retirement Community in Newton, NJ. 

Rita was predeceased by her parents William and Ottilie

Harrington, brothers William and Thomas Harrington and her beloved husband David McGouey.

Survived by Daughters Eileen Diehl and husband Charles, Mary Ledyard and husband Robert and  Kathleen Spero and husband Michael.

Also survived by 12 Grandchildren:   Laura Gallagher and husband Matthew, Amy Fisher and husband Simon, Allison Szymczak and husband Kristopher, Kristen Morelli and husband Dominic, Meredith Roberts and husband Richard, Marianne Jack and husband Kevin, David Ledyard and wife Tiffany, Joy Ledyard, Luke Ledyard and wife Jill, Tessa Farah, Alexander Farah, Kayla Farah. Also survived by 18 Great Grandchildren

Rita worked as office secretary for OLPH in Bernardsville for 13 years and was a Eucharistic minister

at her home parish of St. James in Basking Ridge. Rita was also a member of the Bonafides.  Rita's faith was a very important part of her life.

Her legacy of faith and  love will live on through her family.

Memorial donations may be made to Bristol Glen, 200 Bristol Glen Drive, Newton, NJ.

 

Visitation will be held on 9/21/2018 4-8pm at the Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home, 101 South Finely Ave, BAsking Ridge

Liturgy of Christian Burial wiil be held on 9/22/2018 10:00am at the Church of St. James.
