Obituary of Anne Angowski
Anne Angowski, 87, passed away on Monday, December 28, 2009, at the Morris Hills Center in Morristown. She is the widow of Theodore Angowski, who died on May 6, 1990.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, December 31, 2009, at 9:30 am, at the Church of St. James, 184 South Finley Ave, Basking Ridge followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington. Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, December 30, at Gallaway & Crane Funeral Home 101 South Finley Ave, Basking Ridge from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm.
Anne lived in Jersey City for 60 years before moving to Bloomfield, then finally to Basking Ridge in 1993 where she lived with her daughter Joan Holmes and her family for 15 years. She was an active member of the Bernardsville Senior Center during this time. She then enjoyed living at Sunrise Assisted Living in Basking Ridge where she cheerfully enjoyed many activities and brought a smile to everyone she encountered.
She is survived by her four children, Catherine Ryan and her husband, Donald; Theodore Angowski and his wife, Carolyn; Joan Holmes and her husband, Christopher; and Marie Angowski. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Andrew Ryan, Catherine, Stephen and Allison Angowski and David Holmes. She was preceded in death by her brother John Fedash and her grandson Gregory Ryan.
